Objectives

ABSYS is a research group whose objectives are the design and implementation of Adaptive and Bioinspired Systems to solve optimization and modeling problems. In the past, we have worked on the application of ideas taken from parallel computing, clusters, and grids to algorithms inspired by nature, as well as the application of Bioinspired Algorithms to solve optimization problems with a special emphasis on parallel architectures and optimization problems of embedded systems. Currently, most of the research is related to medical applications of artificial intelligence implemented in both software and hardware architectures.

Team

The research team is made up of a multidisciplinary group. From the Complutense University of Madrid, there are two Full Professors, one Associate Professor, two Assistant Professors, and one Teaching Assistant participating. Additionally, two medical specialists in Endocrinology and Nutrition from the University Hospitals of Toledo and Prince of Asturias in Alcalá de Henares, Madrid, are also participating.
