The Micro-Stress project advances thanks to the collaboration of the Josep Ressel Center for Symbolic Regression (Austria).

Weekly meetings are being held between the MESO group of the National Center for Metallurgical Research (CSIC), the Absys group of the Complutense University of Madrid and developers of the Josep Ressel Center for Symbolic Regression in Austria, in relation to the Micro-Stress-MAP project. Through the study of a stressed (tempered) sample and its unstressed (annealed) counterpart, the strong relationship between the microstructure and the residual stress state of the grains that compose it has been evaluated. With this premise, the aim is to develop new models capable of reproducing the evolution of the microstructure, and with it, of the microscopic stresses of metallic parts with identical geometry and composition, but subjected to different heat treatments.
